The founder:
Originally from the French Alps, I was lucky to grow up with nice views, great food, and wine.
My first love of wine started with Beaujolais and years of memorable and fun harvest, scruffy hands, well deserved pocket money and Beaujolais Nouveau parties! I studied in Lyon, a city full of surprises and a delight for the foodies. I spent hours in “Bouchons Lyonnais” by the river Saône indulging in local food, cheese, carafes of Côtes du Rhône and strong coffee 😊.
The wines that I grew up with where mainly from Beaujolais, Savoie, and the Rhône. Wines that I still cherish immensely today. My discovery of other wines only started when I started travelling in my early twenties.
I am a travel and wine explorer, and I am lucky to have tasted wines in all the world’s major wine regions.
As a wine consultant, I have experience working with wine estates, wine merchants and events companies.
I am WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) qualified.
Favourite wine: so many to choose from and I keep finding new favourites. There is no right or wrong with wine if you like it. What I look for is balance, structure, and wines with lovely expressions of terroir. I tend to navigate to wines made with Pinot Noir, Gamay, Cabernet Franc, and Riesling grape varieties and in summer, I drink mostly crisp, mineral, dry rosé wines.
Favourite food: anything with truffle, cheese and oh chocolate, but who would not!
Favourite place: anywhere with local charm and stories. It makes an enormous difference when you can speak to the people behind the wines.
